What Is Medication Management?

Keeping track of your medications can become a chore, it’s very easy to forget to take and very easy to muddle up.

All of our carers are medication trained so if you need us to help you take them and keep track of your health, we can be of assistance. Medication is a breeze when someone manages it for you!

Medication Management can be implemented into any of our other services also; if you need medication before a meal, ask for medication when we come to prepare your meals. If your medication needs to be implemented into your morning routine, we can help you with it during personal care.

If medication is the only thing that you struggle to manage, we can just come in and help you with that and stop for a chat at the same time!

Why Choose HoneyBee HomeCare For Medication Management

Our core team have over 10 years of experience in the care sector; both in care homes and in domiciliary care alike. With knowledge of medication care, activities & well-being, customer service, time management and more, we impart thorough, relevant and mandatory training to our Honeybees so they can develop their skills as fantastic carers that deliver an incredible medication care service.

We are fortunate enough to have incredible caring staff, from our office to our clients’ homes. Our staff are passionate about providing the highest level of medication care that they possibly can with candour and enthusiasm. Our carers have been known to forge friendships with our clients and always look forward to seeing them on their calls.

Supported Staff

We are very fortunate to have such wonderful staff and we would not want to sully their motivation to do incredible work. One of the founding pillars that our company is based on is the reimbursement of our staff, carers are some of the hardest working people in our economy, so we make sure that they are well paid and reimbursed for their mileage and travel time so we are reassured that they don’t have money trouble. This is relevant to our clients because it ensures that their carers will be more driven to provide the desired service. Happy staff makes superior medication carers.

We always take measures to ensure that our service is running smoothly and maintains the capability to offer optimum care. This is why we have put certain systems in place to monitor all aspects of our service. For example, we have a state-of-the-art rostering system in place to make sure that our carers are arriving to their calls on time and have adequate time to travel to each of their appointments. They also use this software to record care plans and make progress notes that are available for our clients and their relatives to view at their convenience during our medication care service.

Medication care is one of our home care services, that entails providing care for people in need of medication management. This includes making sure that medication is taken on time and is not abused.

We provide ongoing training for all members of staff on a regular basis, including training them to the minimum national standard required by local regulatory bodies. We also encourage them to attend personal training courses.

  • They forget to take their medication on time.
  • They do not thoroughly follow the prescription; either they overdose or underdose.
  • If left alone, they do not take their medication.

Our well-trained carers either come in prior to when you should take your medication to help with it or infuse it with other services they provide you. Since keeping track of your medication can be a chore, it is very easy not to take it, or not follow the prescription. Our carers will not only help you take your medication but will also help keep track of your health.

When you contact us at Honeybee Homecare, we will discuss your needs via a phone call to come up with a suitable solution. At this point, it is advisable to include the desired family members who may have questions to speak to us also. After talking about your wishes and requests, we will put together a package that meets your needs and agree on a start date.

Our medication management service can both be a stand-alone service and implemented with any of our other services. If medication management is the only thing you need help with, we can always come in and help you with that. But if you need help with our other services as well, we can implement them together.
